A RESOLUTION IS REQUESTED FROM THE CITY COMMISSION TO APPROVE THE RANKING OF QUALIFIED FIRMS FOR RFP 2020-014 DESIGN-BUILD SERVICES FOR CITY HALL ANNEX AS RECOMMENDED BY THE EVALUATION COMMITTEE TO AHRENS GENERAL CONSTRUCTION NOT TO EXCEED $3,867.142.00.

 

Need:

ACTION IS NEEDED TO APPROVE THE RANKING OF QUALIFIED FIRMS TO PROVIDE SERVICES FOR THE DESIGN-BUILD AND CONSTRUCTION OF CITY HALL ANNEX AND TO APPROVE THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE WITH THE HIGHEST RANKED PROPOSER.

 

Summary Explanation/ Background:

 

THE CITY OF LAUDERHILL SOLICITED PROPOSALS FROM INTERESTED PARTIES FOR THE DESIGN BUILD A new +/- 13,466 NSF free standing Community Facility to be located at 3300 Inverrary Boulevard (commonly known as the City Hall Annex site).  The new Community Facility building program shall include the following spaces:

Existing/Adjacent Parking field to be used to meet parking requirements.  A portion of the existing parking field will be restriped and connected to provide ADA compliant spaces adjacent to the new building.

IN THE EVENT THE TOP RANKED FIRM IS UNABLE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE CITY OR THE CITY MANAGER IS UNABLE TO NEGOTIATE A CONTRACT, STAFF WILL CONTINUE TO THE NEXT FIRM UNTIL THE RANKED LIST HAS BEEN EXHAUSTED.
