Request Action:

Adopt a Resolution to appoint voting delegate for Florida League of Cities (FLC) Conference, August 15-17, 2019 in Orlando, Florida.

 

Need:

It is important that each municipality designate one official to be the voting delegate in accordance with the FLC by-laws.

 

Summary Explanation/ Background:

FLC requires that each municipality appoint one official to be the voting delegate. Election of League leadership and adoption of resolutions are undertaken during the business meetings.  One official from each municipality will make decisions that determine the direction of the League. Section 2-168 of the Code of Ordinances outlines the order of the selection of delegate.
