Request Action:

A RESOLUTION IS REQUESTED TO APPROVE THE DISPOSAL OF EQUIPMENT THAT IS DAMAGED, INOPERABLE, AND OBSOLETE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 2-143 OF THE CITY ORDINANCE.

 

Need:

THIS EQUIPMENT IS DAMAGED, INOPERABLE, AND OBSOLETE GENERATING A NEED FOR DISPOSAL. ACCORDING TO THE CITY CODE OR ORDINANCE SECTION 2.143 THE COMMISSION’S APPROVAL IS NEEDED FOR STAFF TO USE THE MOST EFFECTIVE AND FAVORABLE METHODS OF DISPOSAL.

 

Summary Explanation/ Background:

FOLLOWING STAFF REVIEW AND INSPECTION, THE ATTACHED LIST OF EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN DEEMED INOPERABLE. THEREFORE, IT WOULD BENEFIT THE CITY TO DISPOSE OF THE ITEM THROUGHOUT ACCEPTED METHODOLOGIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE JUNK YARDS, OR STORAGE OF PARTS AND PIECES.
