Request Action:
Commission acceptance of the change order request associated with NW 21st Street Water & Sewer Improvement Phase I.
Need:
This approval is being requested so that the City is able to finalize this project completely and expeditiously. The funds are needed to pay for construction services already rendered and authorized for the completion of the project.
Summary Explanation/ Background:
The NW 21st Street Water & Sewer Phase I Improvements project was an extensive and highly invasive undertaking. Due to the nature of underground work, this project ran into a variety of conflicts and issues that needed to be resolved in order that the project could move forward. The conflicts encountered could be attributed to deficiencies/inaccuracies in city records, unforeseen underground conditions, or lack of detailed information of the plans provided.
