A RESOLUTION IS REQUESTED FROM THE CITY COMMISSION TO ACCEPT THE GO BOND PROPOSAL (CCNA) FROM COMMISSION-APPROVED CONSULTANT SALTZ MICHELSON ARCHITECTS, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $56,450.00 FOR PROFESSIONAL DESIGN CRITERIA FOR WOLK PARK, LOCATED AT 1080 NW 42 WAY, LAUDERHILL, FL.

 

Need:

ACCEPTANCE OF THE PROPOSAL FROM SALTZ MICHELSON ARCHITECTS, INC. FOR PROFESSIONAL DESIGN CRITERIA.

 

Summary Explanation/ Background:

STAFF RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE SALTZ MICHELSON ARCHITECTS, INC. PROPOSAL TO PROVIDE DESIGN CRITERIA DRAWINGS FOR A DESIGN BUILD PROJECT TO PROVIDE IMPROVEMENTS TO WOLK PARK. THE PROPOSED PROJECT ELEMENTS INCLUDE A NEW BUILDING, REHABILITATION OF THE TENNIS COURTS AND POOL, NEW FENCING, A NEW PAVILION, AND INCORPORATION OF A CHILDREN’S SPLASH AREA.  AS SUCH, THE FIRM’S PROPOSAL WILL INCLUDE PREDESIGN, SCHEMATIC DESIGN, AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF A  DESIGN CRITERIA PACKAGE FOR CITY USE IN SOLICITING DESIGN-BUILD TEAMS TO BID ON THE UPCOMING PARK IMPROVEMENTS.
