RESOLUTION NO. 26R-07-113: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAUDERHILL, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE RELEASE AND USAGE OF STATE LAW ENFORCEMENT TRUST FUNDS TO ACQUIRE A NEW SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE FOR TRAFFIC AND SPEED DATA FROM URBAN SDK IN AN AMOUNT NOT EXCEED $19,000; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE APPROPRIATE BUDGET CODE NUMBERS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE (REQUESTED BY CITY MANAGER KENNIE HOBBS, JR.).
Request Action:
Requesting for approval of the release of State Law Enforcement Trust Funds for the acquisition of a new subscription service, Urban SDK, who provides traffic and speed data. The funds will be used to pay for the first year of the contract in the amount of $18,906.21. The amount requested is $18,906.21 which is not to exceed $19,000.00. The budget code for the State Law Enforcement Trust Funds is 12002683-509935.
Need:
Funds are needed to purchase this new subscription service from Urban SDK. Urban SDK provides traffic and speed data. The platform modules are specifically provisioned for speed enforcement, city planning, providing high-fidelity speed and volume analytics for every municipal roadway. This subscription will assist in providing a safer environment for our city. Therefore, we are requesting these funds to be approved and released so that we can purchase this subscription with funds from the State Law Enforcement Trust Funds. We are also requesting that the Office of Management and Budget place the transfer of these funds on the same Commission Agenda as the requested items to eliminate any delays for processing the payment for the subscription.
