RESOLUTION NO. 23R-07-170: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAUDERHILL AWARDING THE BID TO PROSOUND + VIDEO IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RFP 2023-034 TO PROVIDE SUPPORT, DESIGN AND ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT FOR THE LPAC AUDIO SYSTEM.; PROVIDING FOR PAYMENT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $500,000.00 FROM THE APPROPRIATE BUDGET CODE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE (REQUESTED BY CITY MANAGER, DESORAE GILES-SMITH).

REQUEST ACTION:
A resolution is required from the City Commission awarding the bid to ProSound + Video in accordance with RFP 2023-034 to provide support, design and additional equipment for the LPAC Audio System.
NEED:
Action is required for the selected firm to provide support, design and additional equipment for the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center Audio System.
SUMMARY:
The City of Lauderhill is in the process of updating the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center to offer an improved audio experience for performers and guests. The scope of services needed include the supply of Audio Systems, including delivery, installation, necessary training for Venue’s personnel, and warranty services as specified, as well as the integration of said elements with existing equipment and systems.
It is the intent of the City of Lauderhill to contract for the supply and integration of Audio Systems at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center for installation at the earliest mutually agreeable time beginning on the date of issue of the written City of Lauderhill purchase order and Contract.
Based on this proposal for the skilled labor and equipment necessary to complete this project, as well as delivery and installation of same, along with all necessary training outlined therein by ProSound + Video, it is advisable to contract said entity to provide support, design and additional equipment for the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center Audio System.
