Request Action:
Pass an Ordinance to Amend the City Charter, Section 7.02 to amend the residency requirement for candidates to two (2) years as approved at the November 6, 2018 general election.
Need:
To amend the City Charter consistent with the approved Charter amendments.
Summary Explanation/ Background:
Four (4) Charter Amendments were proposed on the general election ballot of November 6, 2018. All 4 ballot amendments passed. This Ordinance codifies the amendment to Charter Section 7.02 to change the residency requirement for candidates from 6 months to 2 years.
