Commission acceptance of the bid results for the Capital Improvement Project for the Turnpike East Drainage Improvements.
Need Summary Explanation/ Background:
The Work is located within the City of Lauderhill Right-of-Way (R/W). The intent of the project is to eliminate the flow of runoff from the Turnpike into the City’s R/W and improve drainage infrastructure within the City’s R/W. The project area extends between just North of NW 12th ST and just South of NW 18th CT, in Broward County. The proposed system will be divided into three phases: Phase 1 is located South of the existing City’s R/W for access, and Phase 2 is located North of the existing access, and Phase 3 is located South of the Phase 1. The proposed Exfiltration Trench will be located along the East side of Florida Turnpike and about 12 feet from the existing wall within the City ROW, and it will also connect with existing inlets along NW 50th AVE and NW 51st AVE. The work to be performed under this Contract’s bade bid includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of 5 ditch bottom inlets with new DBI type E structures, the installation of 15 new DBI type E structures, and the installation of a new 48” Round Manhole.
