Request Action:
Approve a Resolution requesting FDOT to continue the development of bike/mobility improvements along Oakland Park Blvd. from Canal 20 to Rock Island Road and acknowledging that the City of Lauderhill has responsibility for their maintainence after the project is complete.

Need:
To request FDOT to do specific bike mobility improvements and to assume responsibility for continued maintenance.

Summary Explanation/ Background: Staff recommends approval of the Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Lauderhill, Florida, requesting the Florida Department of Transportation to continue development of bike/mobility improvements within Oakland Park Boulevard from Canal 20 to Rock Island Road Right of Way which involves constructing buffered/protected bicycle lanes, wider pedestrian zone (sidewalks), additional lighting, Pedestrian Safety Through Environmental Design (PEDSTED) features, and midblock crosswalks.
