Request Action:
Pass an Ordinance to create a procurement method for Unsolicited Proposals by amending City Code of Ordinances Section 2-137 and adopting the Florida Statutes which authorize said method.
Need:
In accordance with Florida Statutes 255.065, the City is creating a method to receive Unsolicited Proposals through a procurement process.
Summary Explanation/ Background:
Florida Statutes Section 255.065 sets out requirements and procedures in which Unsolicited Proposals are reviewed and advertised. This amendment codifies Florida Statutes and provides the procedures for Unsolicited Proposals and authorizes the City to utilize this method of procurement. The amendment provides the steps and process for the Unsolicited Proposal method of procurement as well as establishes the $25,000 filing fee for such method.
