Requesting approval from the CRA Board for the newly developed Electrician job description. The creation of this position will improve responsiveness, reduce costs, and ensure timely maintenance.

Summary Explanation/ Background:
The Lauderhill Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) owns and maintains multiple commercial and mixed-use properties within its district boundaries, including aging strip plazas and warehouse facilities. Many of these structures’ present common electrical issues typical of older commercial buildings such as outdated panels, undersized circuits, or wiring that may not meet current code standards and therefore require ongoing maintenance or upgrades to bring them into compliance depending on their intended use.
Historically, such work has been contracted externally, but the CRA seeks to improve responsiveness, reduce costs, and ensure timely maintenance by employing a licensed electrician as a staff member.
