Request Action:
The Parks and Recreation Department would like the Commission to approve a Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Lauderhill and Kiwanis Club of Lauderhill under the Adopt-A-Park Program.
Need Summary Explanation/ Background:
West Wind Park is available for adoption in the Adopt-A-Park Program. The goal of the Adopt-A-Park program initiative it to build community pride and ownership around every park in Lauderhill. Park adopters are key community leaders who organize a community-based volunteer group who make an ongoing commitment to improving their park. Kiwanis Club of Lauderhill are an organization in Lauderhill and they would like to adopt West Wind Park.
