RESOLUTION NO. 19R-10-245: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAUDERHILL, FLORIDA, RELATING TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING REGARDING COLLABORATIVE STUDY AND SUBSEQUENT DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTEGRATED SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLING SYSTEM; APPOINTING REPRESENTATIVES TO REPRESENT THE CITY OF LAUDERHILL IN MATTERS RELATING TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE (REQUESTED BY CITY MANAGER, CHARLES FARANDA).

Request Action:
To appoint Elected Representatives to represent the City regarding the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and to appoint a staff member on the Technical Group (if we choose to appoint a member to that group as well) - all related to the development of an integrated solid waste & recycling system.
Need:
To appoint representatives on behalf of the City of Lauderhill regarding the MOU.
Summary Explanation/ Background:
The City previously entered into a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the collaborative study and subsequent development of an integrated solid waste and recycling system. They are requesting that each participating municipality designate two elected officials to serve as representative and alternate representative as a participating member of the MOU. This is not the working group, but this is the group that will decide the composition of the working group. To also appoint a city staff member to the technical group, if the City wishes to have a member serve in that capacity as well.
