Request Action:
Pass an Ordinance to Amend the City Charter, Section 6.02 to require a comprehensive background investigation for the position of City Manager as approved at the November 6, 2018 general election.
Need:
To amend the City Charter consistent with the approved Charter amendments.
Summary Explanation/ Background:
Four (4) Charter Amendments were proposed on the general election ballot of November 6, 2018. All 4 ballot amendments passed. This Ordinance codifies the amendment to Charter Section 6.02 to require a comprehensive background investigation as part of the qualifications for the City Manager.
