Request Action:
Adopt a Resolution to remove Tanisha Stewart and appoint a member to serve on the LAHAC by the Commission as a whole for the remainder of a four (4) year term, expiring June 2024.
Need:
To ensure a quorum, board members must attend meetings. The LAHAC staff liaison has reported that Tanisha Stewart has missed three (3) consecutive meetings (and a total of four within the last year). In addition, the City Clerk's office has received an application from a resident, expressing interest in being considered for appointment to filll a vacant term on the LAHAC.

Code of Ordinances Sec. 2-3. Same-Removal of members for cause.

(2) Failure of any member to attend three (3) consecutive regular meetings or a total of four (4) or more regular meetings during any twelve-month year commencing April through March of each year. In that event, such member shall submit his or her resignation or notice of such absence shall be provided the city council who shall remove such member by adoption of a resolution and promptly fill the vacancy created by said resignation or removal.
According to attendance records from the staff liaison for the LAHAC Ms. Stewart confirmed her attendance but then was absent from three consecutive meetings meets the criteria for removal, per Sec. 2-3 of the Code of Ordinances. The appointing Commissioners have been notified of these removals.
