Request Action:
Pass a Resolution to approve an Amended and Restated Memorandum of Understanding with Lauderhill Marketplace, LLC regarding the development of the site located at the Northeast corner of State Road 7 and Sunrise Boulevard.

Need:
To update the agreement regarding the terms of the development as the intent of both parties has changed.

Summary Explanation/ Background:
The City of Lauderhill and Lauderhill Marketplace, LLC previously entered into a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the development of the property located at the Northeast corner of State Road 7 and Sunrise Blvd. Since then surveys were done to calculate the actual acreage of each parcel and the intent as to each parcel has changed. The City of Lauderhill has already purchased one parcel (referred to as Parcel 1), and intends to purchase another portion of the site (referred to as Parcel 4). The Lauderhill Marketplace, LLC intends to develop the Parcel 3 as a gas station and convenience store, and intends to donate Parcel 2 to the City at no cost. This new Amended and Restated Agreement memorializes these changes.
