RESOLUTION NO. 26R-01-22: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAUDERHILL, FLORIDA, WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING REQUIREMENTS TO AUTHORIZE A PIGGYBACK OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA ALTERNATE CONTRACT SOURCE (ACS) CONTRACT NO. 31160000-25-NASPO-ACS, FOR THE PURCHASE OF OPERATIONAL AND JANITORIAL SUPPLIES AND SOLUTIONS FROM VARIOUS VENDORS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE PIGGYBACK AGREEMENTS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $30,000.00 ANNUALLY, PER VENDOR; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE (REQUESTED BY CITY MANAGER KENNIE HOBBS, JR.).

Approval of a resolution authorizing the City of Lauderhill to enter into agreements, as needed, utilizing the State of Florida ACS Contract No. 31160000-25-NASPO-ACS, for the purchase of operational and janitorial supplies and solutions for use Citywide.
Need Summary Explanation/ Background:
Various divisions of the City of Lauderhill utilize operational and janitorial supplies and solutions, including cleaning and safety equipment and supplies, fixtures, hand/power tools and building materials, to maintain the beauty and safety of all City owned property and facilities.
The State of Florida has procured an Alternate Contract Source for the purchase of operational and janitorial supplies, based on the Lead State of Kentucky’s competitive procurement resulting in executed Master Contract No. MA 758 2500000413. By utilizing the State of Florida ACS Contract No. 31160000-25-NASPO-ACS, the City is able to streamline procurement efforts, secure competitive pricing, and ensure full compliance with purchasing regulations.
Cost Summary/ Fiscal Impact:
Supplies and services under this contract will be purchased as needed, by the relevant Division, using the appropriate corresponding general ledger code.
