The City Clerk was recently reappointed to the Police Officers Retirement Plan Board of Trustees. This item formally adds as an additional duty of the City Clerk that she/he can become a trustee of the Board if appointed.

Need Summary Explanation/ Background:
Although the current city clerk has served on the Police Officers Retirement Plan Board of Trustees for several years after being appointed by the City Commission, the Pension Board Attorney recommended that adding service on the board as an additional duty to the city clerk's position will guard against dual office holding.
