Summary Explanation/ Background:
An Ordinance approving the adoption of the final tax levy and operating millage rate for 2019-2020. The tentative resolution was approved on September 12, 2019. The operating rate this year is an increase over last year’s operating millage rate of 7.9898. The voted debt service millage is at a rate 1.8500 per $1,000.00. The 2019-2020 aggregate operating millage rate of 9.0157 per One Thousand Dollar ($1,000) assessment is an increase in the aggregate rolled back rate of 7.6742 by 17.48. The City of Lauderhill General Fund operating millage rate of 8.9898 is an increase over the rolled-back rate of 7.6458 by 17.48%. This Ordinance approves the final tax levy, operating millage and voted debt millage for the City for Fiscal Year 2020.
