Need Summary Explanation/ Background:
Consulting agreement between the American Public Health Association (“APHA”) and City of Lauderhill for four months to provide technical assistance and funding to implement the Cardiff Violence Prevention Model, a data-driven approach to reducing violent crime.This initiative aligns with the City of Lauderhill’s crime reduction priorities and will assist first responders in identifying crime hotspots to implement more strategic enforcement measures. The grant will support ongoing collaboration between the Florida Department of Health, Lauderhill’s Fire and Police Departments, and local health institutions, which has been in development for over two years.
