Request Action:
The purpose of this memo is to request the Board’s approval to enter into a contract for professional asbestos abatement services. This contract is necessary to ensure the safe and compliant removal of asbestos-containing materials identified at 1257 NW 31st Ave, Lauderhill, FL, 33311- future site of the Police substation at Wyngate Plaza - in accordance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. The total cost of the proposed contract exceeds the Executive Director’s spending limit authority and therefore requires Board approval. Timely approval will support health and safety standards, prevent potential liabilities, and allow the project to proceed without delay.
