Request Action:
A resolution is requested from the City Commission to approve the agreement between the City of Lauderhill and the Chamber of Commerce for Fiscal Year 2020 services.
Need:
To approve the scope of work for economic development and business retention services to be provided to the City by the Chamber of Commerce for Fiscal Year 2020.
Summary Explanation/ Background:
The City has engaged the Chamber of Commerce to promote economic development and business attraction/retention services on a citywide basis for Fiscal Year 2020. This partnership will incorporate a variety of activities designed to facilitate the growth and expansion of the City's current small businesses, as well as the attraction of new businesses to the area. As such, the Chamber will undertake the activities as set forth in Exhibit A (Scope of Services), and the Chamber will submit quarterly progress reports and financial statements, as well as annual reports/presentations to the City and Commission for review.
