Request Action:
Approve the ordinance allowing for an exemption so that City of Lauderhill will not be required to submit a site plan for governmental facilities for formal review.
Need Summary Explanation/ Background:
Recently, City of recently Lauderhill voters approved a $65 million Bond to support the renovation and construction of police and park facilities, and roads. The City Manager and his staff are now prepared to move expeditiously to complete the Bond projects through the Lauderhill Rise initiative. In an effort to assist with this endeavor, staff believes its in the best interests of the City to exempt City of Lauderhill government projects from the formal development review requirements and allow a more expedited review through the Development Services Department.
