Pass a resolution approving Belfor Property Restoration for asbestos abatement services at Wyngate Suites 1259 and 1261 in the amount of $55, 653.84
authorizing the CRA Director to execute the expenditure amount.
Need Summary Explanation/ Background:
During inspection of the Wyngate Plaza suites located at 1259 and 1261 NW 31st Avenue, asbestos containing materials were identified within the interior of the building materials.
These must be properly removed and disposed of by a licensed asbestos abatement contractor prior to renovation, repair or occupancy to ensure compliance with environmental
and safety regulations.
The CRA obtained estimates from Belfor Property and Restoration, an approved city vendor to perform the required asbestos abatement services. The total estimated amount for both suites is $55,653.84, which exceeds the Director's
authority and therefore requires Board approval.

Total project cost is $55, 653.84.
