Request Action:

Requesting City Commission approval to authorize and approve the ratification of the Broward County Police Benevolent Association, Inc for the City of Lauderhill Police Lieutenants (PBA) Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), for a three (3) year term from October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2027. The Agreement was tentatively agreed on, voted, and successfully ratified by all members of the bargaining unit.

 

Need:

City Commission approval is necessary to fully ratify the Agreement between the City and the City's Police Lieutenants.

 

Summary Explanation/ Background:

Some of the changes in this Agreement include changes to the respective pay plan based on CPI increases, the approval for on-call pay for those on call, special assignment pay for those in special assignments, and ability to have a seven (7) year DROP. These changes have been tentatively agreed upon and voted upon by the members in the bargaining unit.
