Pass a Resolution approving the Option to Extend the Solid Waste Collection and Hauling Services Franchise Agreement with Waste Management of Florida, Inc. for up to an additional 120-day period.
Need:
To extend the current agreement which is due to expire September 30, 2019 for up to an additional 120-days.
Summary Explanation/ Background:
Pass a Resolution approving the Option to Extend the Solid Waste Collection and Hauling Services Franchise Agreement with Waste Management of Florida, Inc. for up to an additional 120-day period pursuant to Section A the original Agreement which was entered into on October 1, 2016. Providing that the City Manager and City Attorney have the authority to negotiate the necessary change in terms as agreeable to both parties. The Memorandum of Understanding memoralizes the option to extend in 30 day increments for up to an additional 120 day period.
