Request Action:

FEMA required additional amendments to our code to clarify that manufactured housing and recreational vehicles are not permitted as permanent structures within the city and making other required changes to meet FEMS's regulations regarding floodplain.

 

Need:

To amend certain code provisions necessary to meet FEMA's regulations.

 

Summary Explanation/ Background:

FEMA has advised that we need to make additional modifications to various sections of the Land Development Regulations in order to meet FEMA's regulations to clarify that manufactured housing and recreational vehicles are only intended for temporary use and are not permitted for permanent use.  Removing reference to manufactured homes and updated references to be consistent with FEMA's regulations.
