RESOLUTION NO. 26R-08-147: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAUDERHILL, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT OF THE CASE STYLED JOANNE FAW v. CITY OF LAUDERHILL, OJCC NO. 18-030975IF, CLAIM NO. Request Action:
Requesting City Commission approval for the final "washout" settlement with Joanne Faw in the amount of $450,000 as a result of a workers compensation claim and pending litigation claim as full and final settlement of all claims and liens inclusive of attorney's fees and costs.
Need Summary Explanation/ Background:
While the City will be reimbursed by the excess liability insurance carrier for this settlement, the City code requires the City Commission approval for any settlement exceeding $30,000.
