Request Action:
The Parks and Recreation Department requests the Commission approve an All-Access Membership fee for seniors ages 55+ that would enable them to utilize park amenities at a discounted rate.
Need Summary Explanation/ Background:
Why is there a need for this action and provide summary/background?
In order to maintain Parks and Park building facilities, the City recently increased some of the park fees. Thus far, the increase in park fees has been met with favorable understanding from residents. The one user group that has expressed concern has been our Seniors. Understanding that many seniors live on fixed incomes, the Parks Department is requesting an All-Access Yearly Membership fee that would enable seniors to utilize the fitness rooms, pools, tennis courts, and dominoes for the following rates:
All-Access Senior Membership Resident Rate: $50.00 Non-Resident Rate: $200.00
