Pass a Resolution approving the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Broward County and the various participating municipalities regarding Collaborative Study and Subsequent Development of an Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling System.

Summary Explanation/ Background:
After many months of working together and after the study by Arcadis was completed, a productive dialogue was had between the Broward League of Cities and Broward County. The results of those discussions are reflected in the attached MOU which is intended to reflect the ongoing commitment to work cooperatively in establishing and implementing a regional solid waste management system that addresses the short and long-term opportunities and challenges associated with providing solid waste disposal and recyclables processing services.
