RESOLUTION NO. 26R-02-44: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAUDERHILL, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO TERMINATE THE STATE HIGHWAY LIGHTING, MAINTENANCE, AND COMPENSATION AGREEMENT WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CONTRACT NO. ASM27) SUBJECT TO REVIEW BY THE CITY ATTORNEY; PROVIDING THAT SUCH TERMINATION SHALL BE EFFECTIVE JUNE 30, 2026, WITH MAINTENANCE RESPONSIBILITIES RETURNING TO FDOT EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2026; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PROVIDE NOTICE AND TAKE ALL ACTIONS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE SAID TERMINATION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE (REQUESTED BY CITY MANAGER, KENNIE HOBBS, JR.).

Approve a resolution authorizing the termination of the State Highway Lighting, Maintenance, and Compensation Agreement (FDOT Contract No. ASM27). Formal termination of the agreement effective June 30, 2026, with maintenance responsibility for the affected lighting facilities reverting to FDOT effective July 1, 2026, and authorization for the City Manager to take all necessary actions to effectuate the transition.
