Approval of the Resolution expressing support for the Discharge Petition H. Resolution No. 965 for consideration of H.R. 1689 to designate TPS for Haiti.
Need Summary Explanation/ Background:
Haiti is still too dangerous for Haitian immigrants to return home, and the gang violence remains rampant, and many Haitians have fled their homes and may face severe consequences if they return to Haiti. The decision to end TPS for Haiti will hurt the economy in the State of Florida and many employers will lose valuable employees who played an integral role in the success of their businesses. This resolution expresses support for the Discharge Petition H. Resolution No. 965 for consideration of H.R. 1689 to designate TPS for Haiti.
