Approval of a first amendment to the Construction Agreement between the City of Lauderhill and J & D Concrete Works Corp. to add milling and resurfacing improvements at Veteran Park and Westwind Park under the City's existing contract for Milling and Resurfacing Services (BID No. 2025-041).
Need Summary Explanation/ Background:
On October 7, 2025, the City entered into a Construction Agreement with J & D Concrete Works Corp., for Milling and Resurfacing Services pursuant to BID No. 2025-041. The original contract amount was $641,870.78.
The Construction Department has identified additional locations requiring milling and resurfacing improvements that fall within the scope of the existing contract. J & D Concrete Works Corp., submitted the following proposals:
? Veteran Park Milling and Resurfacing - Proposal No. JD 26-091 R2 dated April 14, 2026, in the amount of $85,117.19.
? Westwind Park Milling and Resurfacing - Proposal No. JD 26-092 R1 dated April 14, 2026, in the amount of $75,112.15.
The proposed amendment incorporates these additional locations into the existing agreement and increases the contract by $160,229.34, resulting in a revised contract amount of $802,100.12. All other terms and conditions of the original agreement remain unchanged.
