Request Action:
Requesting approval for the release of State Law Enforcement Trust Funds to make donations to the Women in Distress and Broward Victim’s Rights Coalition. The donation amount is $1,000 each and not to exceed $2,000. The account number for the State Law Enforcement Trust Funds is 120-683-9935.
Need:
We need these funds to make donations to two entities that have been working with the Lauderhill Police Department to address domestic violence. Both of these non-profit agencies support programs and victims from the City of Lauderhill. Therefore, we are requesting these funds to be approved and released so that we can give donations to each agency, these not for profit agencies works largely from donations. We are also requesting that the Office of Management and Budget place the transfer of these funds on the same Commission Agenda as the requested items to eliminate any delays for processing donations.
Summary Explanation/ Background:
Funds are needed to help the agencies to continue to provide support for programs and victims from the City of Lauderhill and should not exceed $2,000.
