Request Approval of a resolution authorizing the City of Lauderhill to use Abandoned Property Funds, not to exceed $20,000.00, for the purchase and installation of audio-visual equipment in the Police Chief’s Conference Room
Need Summary Explanation/ Background:
During recent renovations to the Police Department several electronic components were removed. The remaining equipment is outdated and no longer adequate for virtual meetings. The room also serves as the Department’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC), and current technology does not meet the operational and communication needs required for that function.
To address these deficiencies, the Department obtained three (3) quotes for the purchase and installation of updated audio-visual equipment. Visual Concept Multimedia, Inc., a City-approved vendor located within the City of Lauderhill, submitted the lowest quote
Cost Summary/ Fiscal Impact:
The projected cost will not exceed $20,000.00, which will be expended from Abandoned Property Funds Account 001-511-505826. There is no impact on the General Fund.
