RESOLUTION NO. 25R-08-150: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAUDERHILL, FLORIDA, APPROVING A LIST OF QUALIFIED VENDORS IN RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) NO. 2025-038 - YOUTH RECREATION AND OUT-OF-SCHOOL PROGRAMMING; PROVIDING FOR THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE (REQUESTED BY CITY MANAGER KENNIE HOBBS, JR.).
I. REQUESTED ACTION
To approve the list of qualified vendors in response to RFP 2025-038 for Youth Recreation and Out-of-School Programming to be provided to the Lauderhill community.
II. SUMMARY AND HISTORY/BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Department of Parks and Recreation requires Youth Recreation/Sports Camp and Out-of-School programming for Afterschool, Summer Camp and Winter and Spring Break Camps. Out-of-School Time (OST) programs provide a safe environment for children during times when they are not in school and encourage healthy, active lifestyles through activities such as play, swimming, exercise, and sports. The Lauderhill Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to providing affordable and inclusive youth recreation and sports training opportunities that are safe, effective, and accessible to all youth in the City.
The Purchasing Division issued RFP 2025-038 - Youth Recreation and Out-of-School Programming to assemble a list of qualified OST Recreational Program vendors. The City will use the approved vendors from this list on an as needed basis.
