Request Action:
Pass an Ordinance to amend the DROP plan for Senior Management Confidential Management Pension Plan to allow employees in certain positions to continue city employment at the conclusion of DROP participation.

Need:
To amend the Senior Management Confidential Managment Pension Plan regarding DROP

Summary Explanation/ Background:
To amend the Senior Management - Confidential and Managerial Employees DROP plan to allow employees in certain positions to continue city employment at the conclusion of DROP participation. This would apply only to the City Manager, Deputy City Manager, Assistant City Manager and Department Directors. This provision currently already exists in the Police and Fire Pension Ordinances, but does not exist in the Confidential/Managerial Plan Ordinance.
