Request Action:
Approve a District tax levy for the Windermere Safe Neighborhood District in the amount of $0 and 2 mils and the resulting budget for fiscal year 2027.
Need Summary Explanation/ Background:
The community is recommending this levy to continue projects in the Windermere Comprehensive Plan to improve the safety and security of the community.
The Safe Neighborhood Districts were created to provide a more secure community for our residents. The Windermere Safe Neighborhood District was created in 2011 by the City. Residents in this community voted, by referendum, to create the district and levy taxes to collect funds to make their neighborhoods safer.
Cost Summary/ Fiscal Impact:
The assessment will be collected by the district in the approximate amount of $169,277.
