Request Action:

Support N.W. 31st Avenue Corridor Improvement Project.

Need:

To support the effort to coordinate the transportation planning for the N.W. 31st Avenue transit corridor led by the City of Lauderdale Lakes.

Summary Explanation/ Background:

The City of Lauderdale Lakes has taken the lead to request a Planning, Development and Environmental Study to be conducted of 31st avenue between Broward Boulevard and McNab Road.  The study will review the current conditions and projections for a Transportation and Transit Related Corridor Improvement Project from Broward Boulevard to Commercial Boulevard on 31st Avenue.  The Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is anticipated to provide funding for this Study.  The Cities proposed to participate in this study are: Fort Lauderdale, Tamarac, Oakland Park, Lauderhill, and Lauderdale Lakes

The City of Lauderdale Lakes and the City of Fort Lauderdale have passed resolutions. The other Cities are encouraged to pass a resolution to participate in this study.

The City of Lauderhill supports the effort and would like to be included in the application process.
