Request Action:
This Resolution is requested to approve the appointments to the Code Enforcement Board, as selected by individual Commissioners to fill the vacant and/or expired seats.
Need Summary Explanation/ Background:
The appointment of Kidson Barnes, by Commissioner Sarai "Ray" Martin expired November 2025. Commissioner Martin has requested the reappointment of Mr. Barnes for an additional three (3) year term, to expire November 2028.
The appointment of Sandra Lee-Brady, as an alternate member, by Commissioner John T. Hodgson expired November 2025. Commissioner Hodgson has requested the appointment of Dwight Nelson to fill this expired term for a one (1) year term, to expire November 2026.
The appointment of Bakari Smith as an alternate member expired November 2025. Mr. Smith has expressed his interest in being reappointed to the board. This appointment is to be made by the Commission as a whole. No additional applications or interest has been received by the City Clerk at this time and Mr. Bakari Smith is the only applicant for the seat.
Cost Summary/ Fiscal Impact:
All board members receive a $50.00 stipend, per meeting attended.
