RESOLUTION NO. 26R-09-175: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAUDERHILL, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE FITNESS EQUIPMENT IDENTIFIED IN EXHIBIT “A” TO BE SURPLUS PROPERTY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO DISPOSE OF THE SURPLUS FITNESS EQUIPMENT BY SALE OR DONATION, OR BY ANOTHER METHOD AUTHORIZED BY LAW, IN THE MOST COST-EFFECTIVE AND FAVORABLE MANNER PURSUANT TO SECTION 2-143 OF THE CITY’S CODE OF ORDINANCES; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE (REQUESTED BY CITY MANAGER KENNIE HOBBS, JR.).

Request Action:
To approve the resolution declaring fitness equipment as surplus property and allowing the disposal of same.
Need Summary Explanation/ Background:
The City accepted a donation of gymnasium equipment from Inverarry Club Apartments, managed by United Property Management, Inc. via RESOLUTION NO. 26R-03-57 passed March 9, 2026. The City received a subsequent donation from another entity which included a greater quantity of equipment and was determined to have a longer remaining useful life, therefore it was deemed more beneficial to retain the most recently donated equipment from the second entity.
