Pass a Resolution to support the passage of the American Infrastructure Plan which will invest federal dollars into America's infrastructure.

 

Need:

To support the American Infrastructure Plan

 

Summary Explanation/ Background:

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal will grow the economy, enhance our competitiveness, create good jobs, and make our economy more sustainable, resilient, and just. The Infrastructure Deal will create approximately 2 million good-paying union jobs per year over the decade, while accelerating America’s path to full employment and increasing labor force participation. The Infrastructure Deal will invest federal dollars in public transit, passenger rail, bridge investment, clean drinking water and waste water infrastructure, access to high-speed internet, and may help tackle the climate crisis by making investments in clean energy and EV infrastructure.  Commissioner Melissa P. Dunn has requested this Resolution to express the City of Lauderhill's support of the American Infrastructure Plan.
