A Resolution to approve the Davies Administrators Third Party Administration Insurance Policy for Workers Compensaiont and for Liability/Automotobile/Property Claims for the City of Lauderhill  for coverage period October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2025.

 

Request Action:

Request commission approval for the retention of Davies ("Davies") to provide Third Party Administrator ("TPA") services for Workers' Compensation and Liability/Automobile/Property claims for the city for the period October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025.

 

 

Need Summary Explanation/ Background:

A TPA is necessary to administer claims presented to Risk Management for Workers' Compensation and Liability/Automobile/Property claims.

 

 

Cost Summary/ Fiscal Impact:

The TPA is necessary to assist in the operation of the Risk Management Program. The TPA will also be responsible for the Section 111 Medicare, Medicaid, Medicaid and Ship Extension Act of 2007 ("MMSEA") reporting requirements mandated by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. MMSEA reporting is required to allow coordination of benefits with Medicare/Medicaid beneficiaries who receive settlements, judgments, awards or other payments from liability insurance or other payments from liability insurance or Workers' Compensation.  Total minimum cost. $54,373
