Pass an Ordinance to approve the Sale and Purchase Agreement between the School Board of Broward County and the City of Lauderhill for the City to purchase the described property Parcel ID 4941 26 28 0050 for $130,000; approving the Quit-Claim Deed from the School Board to the City for Parcel ID 5042 06 13 0030; and approving the negotiation of the Long-Term Recreational License Agreement for the Endeavor/Circle One Site Parcel ID 4941 26 28 0040 for the City to develop and operate a park at the location, all subject to approval by the Broward County School Board.
Need:
To memorialize three (3) land transactions with the School Board of Broward County.
Summary Explanation/ Background:
The School Board of Broward County contacted the City of Lauderhill to advise of three (3) school board parcels that they wished to dispose of/transact. Discussions were had and due to the nature of each unique parcel, various transactions were determined to be appropriate.
1. Agreement of Sale and Purchase for the parcel located at N.W. 56th Avenue Parcel ID 4941 26 28 0050 as depicted in Exhibit "A" for the City of Lauderhill to purchase at the price of $130,000.
2. Quit-Claim Deed from the School Board of Broward County to the City of Lauderhill for the property located at N.E. 33rd Avenue Parcel ID # 5042 06 13 0030 as depicted in Exhibit "B".
3. Long-Term Recreational License Agreement to be negotiated for the Endeavour/Circle One site location located at N.W. 58th Terrace Parcel ID 4941 26 28 0040, providing for the School Board to provide access to the property through the school property and providing that the City will develop and operate a park at the site, as depicted on Exhibit "C".
