Pass a Resolution to approve the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) Agreement with the grant award in the amount of $438,313.00.
Need:
The shuttered Venue Operators Grant provides payroll and operational funding based on the Lauderhill Performing Art Center (LPAC) loss of revenue due to COVID-19.
Summary Explanation/ Background:
The Shuttered Venue Operators Grant program is Section 324 of the Economic Aid to Hard-Hit Small businesses, nonprofits and Venues Act signed into law on December 27, 2020 and will be administered by the Small Business Administration (SBA). The City of Lauderhill's allocation of $438,313.00 can provide funds for payroll retroactive to March 1, 2020, equipment, and operational expenditures such as advertising and capital. It can be applied to cover LPAC operational and capital costs for theaters effected by COVID.
