RESOLUTION NO. 19R-10-246: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAUDERHILL APPROVING AND SUPPORTING THE REQUEST TO THE BROWARD COUNTY COMMISSION TO APPROVE THE EXPANSION OF THE CURRENT GEOGRAPHICAL BOUNDARIES OF THE STATE ROAD (SR) 7 CRA TO ALLOW FOR INCREASED DEVELOPMENT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE (REQUESTED BY CITY MANAGER, CHARLES FARANDA).

Request Action:
A resolution approving and supporting the request to the Broward County Commission to approve the geographical boundaries of the current State Road (SR) 7 CRA for the proposed Southeast boundaries CRA to allow for mixed-use development.
Need:
Request to expand the boundards to meet the needs of the CRA and help to sprawl development.
Summary Explanation/ Background:
The request is to expand the current geographical boundary of the current State Road 7 CRA to include all Lauderhill's properties from the City limit line to N.W. 31st Avenue from Broward Blvd. to approximately 95 feet north of N.W. 17th Court as depicted in the attached letter requesting expansion. This expansion would help to meet the needs of the CRA to help promote connectivity, pedestrianism and mutlimodal transportation. It will allow for mixed-use development which will help to build and improve the area. The CRA Board has already approved this Resolution as well.
