RESOLUTION NO. 20R-03-70: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LAUDERHILL, FLORIDA INDICATING THE OFFICIAL INTENT OF THE CITY TO ENTER INTO A SUBJECT TO ANNUAL APPROPRIATION TAX-EXEMPT LEASE-PURCHASE FINANCING ARRANGEMENT TO PAY CERTAIN COSTS OF ACQUIRING AND EQUIPPING VEHICLES AND TO USE A PORTION OF THE PROCEEDS OF SUCH FINANCING TO REIMBURSE EXPENDITURES PAID OR INCURRED PRIOR TO THE DATE PROCEEDS OF THE LEASE-PURCHASE FINANCING ARE AVALABLE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE (REQUESTED BY INTERIM CITY MANAGER, DESORAE GILES-SMITH).

Pass a Reimbursement Resolution to allow for reimbursements of any expenditures relating to the Equipment Lease for certain vehicles and equipment.

Summary Explanation/ Background:
The City intends to enter into a Lease-Purchase finance agreement for the purchase of various necessary vehicles for the police and fire departments. This resolution allows for the reimbursement if any expenditures are made prior to the actual passage and entry of the Lease-Purchase Agreement itself relating to the subject matter of that Lease-Purchase Agreement, which is essential especially in the condition of the market currently.
