RESOLUTION NO. 23R-06-133: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAUDERHILL APPOINTING _________________ BY THE CITY COMMISSION AS A WHOLE TO SERVE AS A MEMBER OF THE LOCAL AFFORDABLE HOUSING ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR THE REMAINDER OF A FOUR (4) YEAR TERM EXPIRING JUNE 2027; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Request Action:

Adopt a Resolution appointing a member to serve on the LAHAC by the Commission as a whole for the remainder of a four (4) year term, expiring June 2027.

 

Need:

To fill a vacant term on the LAHAC.

 

Summary Explanation/ Background:

The LAHAC must consist of members meeting at least six (6) of eleven (11) criteria, as outlined in Florida Statute 420.9076. There are two vacant seats on the board. Currently, the City Clerk’s Office has the following applications on file from individuals meeting the listed criteria:

 

Laurane Simon, (a) A citizen who is actively engaged in the residential home building industry in connection with affordable housing.
