Request Action:

 The Lauderhill Police Department is requesting the City Commission to waive competitive bidding requirements in accordance with section 2-144 of the City’s code of ordinance approve the purchase and installation of emergency equipment for six (6) police vehicles not to exceed $91,175.60.

 

Need:

Action is needed to allow the City to purchase and install emergency equipment from Strobes-R-Us for street deployment of the new vehicles purchased for use by the Lauderhill Police Department.

 

Summary Explanation/ Background:

Broward Sheriff’s Office through its purchasing department has acquired pricing advantageous to its agency.  This pricing has extended to all municipalities.  Approval of the resolution will allow the City to furnish the new police vehicles with emergency equipment for street deployment
